SURFER Magazine’s 2014 Oakley Surf Shop Challenge at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz previously scheduled for this week, has been postponed due to the prediction of uncontestable conditions. The contest, which will be the sixth of seven in the series, will instead run either Aug. 27th or Aug. 28th depending on the forecast that week.
When the contest runs next month, four-man teams (two surf shop pros and two shop employees) will be competing for a chance to win and all-expense-paid trip to Central America for the National Championship, an advertising spread in SURFER Magazine, and the coveted title and bragging rights of best surf shop in the country.
